Yoga For Healthy Necks with Katelyn

Join us for this workshop to educate and promote optimal cervical spine health. We will explore yoga poses to help in the recovery and prevention of neck pain. The yoga class will be appropriate for all levels of experience, moving through seated poses and lying down mat exercises. This will be beneficial for those with a history of neck pain or looking to prevent neck pain, but if you are undergoing medical treatment for neck pain, headaches, TMJ, or dizziness, you must have approval by your medical provider to exercise. This workshop is also beneficial for yoga teachers wanting to learn modifications and safety principles for teaching students with neck pain.

Bring a yoga mat and some water and arrive early to complete a waiver and meet the teacher!

Dr. Katelyn Carpenter is a Physical Therapist in Murfreesboro with advanced training in Integrative Manual Therapy and Functional Movement Assessments. She has 6 years of experience working with patients with spinal pain, sports injuries, workplace injuries, whiplash injuries, surgical repairs, and neurological conditions. With 10 years of experience practicing yoga and now a yoga teacher, she has an intensive knowledge of poses to help in the recovery of various ailments, as well as the restorative benefits of yoga to prevent future imbalances.
