Dharma Buzz

So I just finished recording a Facebook Live video. And now, at this moment, I'm a little bit better. A little bit peppier (if that's possible!). I have that extra spring in my step, I just have this feeling as though things are right. My heart is happy and I feel joyful and connected. So that's all really cool (for me), but why? What's going on? Well my new friend/teacher/Vedic Astrology Guide Danielle Bertoia described it to me as a "Dharma Buzz". Well what does that mean? So Dharma can be defined as your life's purpose. It can be as simple as the actual job you perform, or as complex and large as the greater work that you are here to do in this world, at this time. No big deal. :-) So what's happening to me is that each time I do a Facebook video, teach a yoga class, consult with a private client, etc. etc., my soul is lit up. My soul lights up because I am feeding myself and the world. I'm using my gifts (personality, laughter, energy, student, teacher) to help people feel better or give them some sort of perk. It's as complicated and as simple as that. When I first started the videos, I just thought it would be something fun to do, and a great way to get me out of bed at a reasonable time in the morning. And I quickly realized that after I finished each one, I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. I just feel so good! Just for doing some piddly 5 minute video. So it's a great reminder for me to continue to do things such as this that clearly and directly speak to my soul. So I ask you, what do you do during your day that lights you up? Let's pay more attention to those things. Let's spend more time doing those things. Then we'll all feel better, we'll be listening to our soul's calling, which in turn makes the world a better place, which will in turn bring world peace!
